Enhanced emergency preparedness is the focus of a new hospital being built by Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Medical facilities throughout the United States are beginning to see the need to move beyond preparation for simple daily medical events to be prepared for catastrophic disasters.  

Dr. Dino Rumoro, Rush's chairman of emergency medicine told the Chicago Tribune, "The ERs of the past are focused on traumas, colds and broken bones.  But we're prepared--not just for bioterrorism, but for the kind of infection and pandemic diseases that can overwhelm any hospital.  It's a whole new era."

MobileAid First Aid Flag Stands Head and Shoulders Above the Crowd in Any Emergency or Disaster

One of the most impressive (and surprising) features of a MobileAid Multi-Function Trauma First Aid station is it's first aid flag.  Carried in a compact side pouch, the first aid flag assembles in seconds on a shock cord system (just like modern tent poles) and stands 8 feet tall.
