One of the most impressive (and surprising) features of a MobileAid Multi-Function Trauma First Aid station is it's first aid flag. Carried in a compact side pouch, the first aid flag assembles in seconds on a shock cord system (just like modern tent poles) and stands 8 feet tall.
This 8 foot height means that the flag can be seen at a distance and over the heads of those who are potentially crowded around the station. The flag can serve as a rallying point in an evacuation and as a clear marker to help people find emergency first aid in a severe disaster.
Though the MobileAid First Aid Flag is commonly deployed as part of the MobileAid Multi-Function Trauma First Aid Station, many are purchased for use separately. Emergency responders appreciate the flag's clear and bold markings and the ease with which it can be deployed. The whole deployment takes less than 10 seconds.
To deploy the flag, one simply removes it from the pouch, unfurls the flag, unfolds the segments of the pole while allowing them to snap together on the shock cord, and places the flag into a small slot in the pouch that is designed to hold the flag upright.
The light weight, compact flag is 17.5" x 12" when unfurled and the pole folds down to be only about 15" tall. The pole is made of aluminum, and so it will not rust.
The instant first aid flag is just one of the many features that has earned the MobileAid system the nickname of the "Swiss Army Knife" of trauma first aid stations.
With features like the first aid flag, integrated seat and gear platform, "stair-climbing" double wheels, and flexible stretcher (just to name a few) the nickname is well earned.
