May we humbly suggest that its time to either (1) take a good look at your current earthquake kit (checking for the stuff that has expired since you bought it years ago), or (2) get yourself an earthquake kit?
We make this suggestion because Lucile M. Jones, a seimologist at the United States Geological Survey, told the New York Times this week, "The last 17 years has been the quietest time we have ever seen. Maybe we're starting to turn back to more normal levels."
More normal levels included the devastating Northridge Earthquake of 1994 among others. We are glad that this week's California earthquakes left few injuries, no fatalities, and relatively minor property damage. Hopefully what they did leave is a bit of a wake up call for the need for earthquake preparedness.
So, take a few minutes to make the effort to make sure you are secure in an unsure world, by getting your earthquake kit all set. If we at LifeSecure can help, you know where to find us.
